I don't remember if I mentioned that when we got back from MX, I went on a thorough research on a place to rent that was closer to Arden's school, so we could save money on gas and on housing. We could use the money we saved as down payment for a house next year. I spent a lot of time looking for a place, but then Newel said it was too much work moving and we wouldn't really save that much and it wasn't worth the move. I was disappointed because I felt like I had wasted my time doing this, but whatever. Honestly, I didn't want to move all of that food storage we have.
Since we were not moving, I was itching to do something about our current facilities. I ended up working on a few projects. I moved the furniture around in our living room. It's amazing how moving a couple of couches around can make the room feel different...cozy.
I also worked really hard for a couple of days rearranging my food storage to our downstairs closet and rearranging stuff in our garage...and disposing of a lot of crap we don't use around the house. I tried to dejunk, declutter, and simplify our house. I think it worked because I'm not itching to move. However, my biggest accomplishment was being able to fit my van inside the garage, along with the crap I couldn't get rid of. I was pretty proud of this accomplishment. My van barely fits in the garage, but I don't mind...as long as I don't have to remove ice and snow from it during snow days. I don't park my van in the garage daily...only on snow days. After all, the garage is also the kids play room...sort of...that's where they keep their toys.
I also got a hair cut...10 inches to be exact. I'll be donating the hair to Locks of Love. I love my short hair. I was getting tired of my long hair. It's nice to have some changes.
