May Adventures (Entrepreneurs, Zion Trip)

Entrepreneurs:
The kids and the next door neighbors decided to combine their rocks and sell them to the neighbors on our street.  They actually made some money.  The kids split up the money and our kids donated their money to charity.

Museum:  Maya and Karen went to the museum to see the mummy exhibit.  Arden didn't want to go because he was didn't like the idea of seeing desiccated bodies.

Happy Birthday Newel!
We celebrated Newel's birthday with one of his favorite cakes, tres leches.  We also celebrated Mother's Day.

Zion:
On the final weekend in May, we invited the Bowman family to go to Zion with us.  We love going to Zion and hoped they liked it as well.

We went on all sorts of hikes and we were even lucky enough to see the park's rams and other creatures, like a fox, that we normally don't see.  We had a lot of fun, but I don't think the Bowmans are used to the outdoors much. However, they were tough and kept going.  The kids also swam at the hotel's pool.
Normally we stay in Hurricane, but hotels were so expensive, this time we stayed in St. George.  While in St. George, we tried out some drink place called Splash or something like that.  It was overrated.  The drinks weren't that special.
So, I think it was on Monday, the Bowmans headed back home.  We set off on another adventure.

Knarraville:  It was a fun slot hike.  There was a slot canyon and lots of small streams to cross.  We really liked the hike.

While we were there, Arden and Maya learned the art of rappelling.  It went pretty well for Arden, but Maya got a little bit scared and didn't want to try again.

It was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful place.

Stanford GSB Reunion 2013

The anticipated time finally came!  We were heading out to California for the Stanford GSB Reunion.   We cannot begin to describe how much we were looking forward to this event.  We were looking forward to visiting our favorite places.  The day before we were heading to Cali, it actually snowed at our place.  Crazy.

Once we arrived to San Francisco, we visited Golden Gate Park.  We love that place.  Unfortunately, Maya got sick and was throwing up all over the place.  However, she still wanted to walk around and not miss out on this adventure.

We walked and drove to our favorite places, like Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square.

The following day we walked around campus and just had a great time.

Since I don't feel like writing, let the photos tell the story.
