Halloween Festivities

As I've mentioned before...I didn't like Halloween until I had children.  I thought Halloween was too scary...I didn't realize it could be just fun...not scary.
This year we went to Thanksgiving Point for the Halloween festivities.
The children went dressed in their Halloween costumes.
We went on all kinds of rides and they explored the park to their hearts desires.
The weather was perfect and we stayed until late.
We need one of these at home when they're naughty

They played in the corn maze...
They also played in corn box...which is like a sandbox, but instead it has corn.

They played in spider webs
Went on all kinds of rides, including a hay ride...

We enjoyed watching the pig races...

There were bouncy houses, swings, slides, and all kinds of other neat things to do.

We really had a wonderful time.

We were even devoured by an unknown giant monster.

Well, almost devoured.  We only got as far as the heart and it got to be too scary for the kids to go through.  I even tried to make 'scientific' like we were exploring the inside of an animal...but the music played (heart beat sound) was a too scary.
May be next year we'll be more brave.

Our Halloween festivities did not end there.  A few days later, we carved our own pumpkins...that's always fun.  Although Maya didn't really like being dirty.

A few days after our pumpkin carving fun...we celebrated Halloween.  This year, we invited our cousins to come to our place.  Since our place is too tiny, we had it at the club house.  I baked some pizzas and decorated the main room in the clubhouse.  Afterward, all of the cousins went trick-or-treating.  It was raining that night and it was a bit chilly, so they didn't go out for too long. However, they still got plenty of candy to enjoy.
I forgot to mention that Arden was the Bakugan Brawler Dan.  I made his costume. I think it turned out okay.
Maya, of course, was a princess.
