After we got back from Acapulco, we spent a couple of days mostly trying to relax. Maya acquired an interest on playing games on the laptop.

However, there was a bit of tension between Danna and my children. Danna would tattle about everything and was not very nice about sharing anything of hers. I also had a hard time getting along with her after she accused me of scratching her on purpose. She also lied a few times about different things. I think she just had a hard time with us being there. That was one of the reasons why I ventured to go out on our own, so we could avoid tension between her and the kids. In a way, I'm grateful because we were able to go to Puebla and to other places on our own. I just hope this kind of behavior was just a phase and she will not grow up being that way.

So on this occasion, Arden, Maya, and I took a day trip to some nice ruins just outside of Cuernavaca. We took a bus there, without getting lost, and had the place pretty much to ourselves.
On our way there, I chatted with an American who was doing his Phd thesis on ancient art. We had a great discussion about Mexico, it's wonderful people and living there. It was nice to talk to an American who spoke so positive about Mexicans.

It was a really nice day. I really liked Xochicalco because there weren't any vendors trying to sell us stuff. We enjoyed observing nature as well.

Later, it was Pamela's birthday and Margarita had a small party for her. Pamela's friends came over. It was funny because the house was pretty empty since Margarita had given her couches away to a more needy family. Also, half of the house was packed since we were getting ready to move to another house. However, the party was a hit. Margarita was so good at having the kids play age appropriate games and help them get to know each other better. I think Pamela had a great time.
