Maya goes to UT

Newel had a job interview on Wednesday, April 23 in UT. He asked me if he could take Maya with him to UT so G-ma and the family could see her. I asked, "why don't you take both kids?"

He responded, "I don't have to pay for Maya, and we would have to buy Arden a ticket."

So that settled it. I got her stuff ready and on Wednesday morning, they got up really early and headed out to UT. This was the first time, since Maya was born that we've been apart this long.

I was told Maya had a fanstactic time...While Newel interviewed, G-ma and Maya played all day long. Maya was so busy, she only took 2 naps (1/2hr. short). That evening, Newel arrived home around 11:30. He said Maya slept the whole way home...but when she arrived home, she was awake. She saw me, and immediately her hands began to shake, and she started to cry...she wanted her mommy. It was so cute, and it made me feel good that I'm not just a feeding machine...she likes me.

While Maya and Newel were in UT, Arden and I, along with some friends went to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo for the day. It was fun having a day with just one child.

Maya was so-o good. She was the most cuddly visitor we could ever have, but there was one bad part: She and her Daddy left us after just one party with the primas!

Wow! I am so impressed that Newel wanted to travel alone with a kid! Not that Newel isn't a great guy I just don't know many fella's who would volunteer to take a little sweetie on any kind of plane ride! It sounds like everyone had a great time.
