We had so much fun visiting Suzanne and the kids. We headed over to their house on Thursday morning and had a play date with our other friends (Esther and kids, not pictured), Karen, and Mia.
Maya, Mia, and Lily. Such cute girls.
Arden and Jackson had a blast. He had been asking me when were we going to play with him for a couple of days. Arden does really well with other children if I prepare him ahead of time of what to expect. He knew from Suzanne's blog, Jackson liked to play dress up like him, and had a little sister just like him. So when we arrived, they became instant friends. They played so well together and had so much fun.
After the play date, Suzanne made cupcakes with the kids. They loved licking the spoon. Yummy!
After relaxing (for us, playing for the kids), we went swimming.
Instead of using the door, to go to the backyard to pee, Arden used the dog's door instead. Who knew that door wasn't just for dogs.

Yummy, Mayita is such a big girl, she wanted to eat all by herself. That was the first time I let her completely feed herself. She did well, and ever since, she only wants to feed herself, so independent.
After dinner(which by the way, Suzanne I want that chicken recipe, even if it has a thousand calories per serving...so delicious), Suzanne brought a couple of cupcakes to the pool and we sang Happy Birthday to Arden and Karen, since their birthdays are only a week apart. Arden was really excited.

He knew he was now going to be four years old. As a matter of fact, from that day on, he said he was four.
Can you tell he's really enjoying his cupcake?
Can you tell he's really enjoying his cupcake?I know our kids might kill us later on, but they were so cute playing in the tub together.
I love bath tub pictures.
We spent the night over at Suzanne's and the kids had a lot of fun together.
The following morning, we got up, got dressed and headed to Honeymoon Island beach. It was such a nice day. Not too cloudy or sunny. Just right. There was a low tide so we walked to the dunes. Mayita didn't like it too much, the waves were too high for her. So we played on the shore.

Of course when you play at the beach you get hungry, so it was time for yummy snacks.
I know in UT this is considered the state bird or whatever. In Florida, we consider them rats with wings. These rotten birds stole food right out of my hands as I was trying to hand a cheese stick to one of the kids. I do not like sea gulls. They're mean, vicious, and they scare me. Although it's not entirely their fault. Tourists like to feed them, so they think it's okay to steal food off of people's hands.

Mayita is trying really hard to stand up by herself.
Suzanne is so much fun. She and the kids began to dig a hole, and then the boys started to fill it up with water.

They worked really hard, but the one who really benefited was Lilly.
The boys working hard...

Meanwhile...
Ahhh, there's nothing like relaxing in the pool.

Unfortunately, it was time to go home . Arden was really sad to leave. He kept asking me when we were going back to Suzanne's. He really liked being over at her house. I think it was therapeutic for him. Since we had been in FL he hadn't talked much about Stanford, but while he was over at Suzanne's he talked a lot about it. I guess he felt really comfortable with her.
