UT Birthday Party

We arrived from FL very late Saturday night. We made it, but we were all tired. Mayita only slept for about 30 minutes of a 4 1/2 hour flight. She was a very busy girl. I was so tired. Luckily, on the 2nd flight, both kids slept from the time we took off until we landed. We were the last people to get out of the plane, since I had to bring the stroller in so I could put both kids in it. Arden actually slept through everything, until the following morning.

Monday night, the family gathered together for FHE (Family Home Evening). Newel and G-ma had made this really cute rocket model and rocket pinata.

All of his UT cousins were there. It was such a fun evening for Arden. One of the funnest things was breaking the pinata.

He was the first one to hit the pinata, and all it took was one hit, and it split open.

Then, it was candy time.
Arden requested another spider cake. So, once again, I made another cake (this time I didn't stay up all night making it), and I also made him cups of mud with worms.

At the end of the evening, I asked him, "Arden, what was your favorite thing about your party?"

"The worms."

Sometimes they can surprise you. I thought he was going to say the rocket pinata, or smashing the pinata...since it was really cool, and it was based on his real rocket that he launches with G-ma. But, worms are another of his favorite things.
