Happy 4th Birthday Arden

For a few days we had been trying to decide if we were going to do a party for Arden and where. Last minute, like Friday afternoon, we decided to celebrate his birthday over at my parents house.
We only invited family and a couple of friends, since it was supposed to be something small and simple.
The theme. Arden's Favorite Things.

That night, after the kids when to bed, my mom and I went to the store to buy the stuff for the party. Mind you, it's supposed to be something simple, however, my parents' house is not child friendly, we had to start from scratch, pool, games, etc.

Arden's favorite things: Water, so we had a small pool, which didn't work, at all. Consumer report: Don't buy the pool on this picture. You'll end up wasting your money and water resources.

Other of Arden's favorite things: Spiders, so we had a spider game. Thanks Nephi for making the spider web.
His favorite color is blue, so there was a blue banner that said: "Happy B-day Arden"

Favorite food: Pizza, and so it was served for lunch.
He also loves balloons: So my brothers got a huge helium tank and filled balloons with air. The living room ceiling was pretty full of balloons, and I used some of the balloons outdoors and stuck pictures of his other favorite things: More insects.

Tia Dina with cousin Mia and Maya. So cute.

Arden's spider cake
Did I mention Arden loves spiders? At around 11:30PM on Friday night I started to bake his spider cake and cupcakes. By the time I finished his banner, cake, and other stuff, it was around 5AM Saturday.

All that work was worth it. He had so much fun.

Some of our guests of honor: Mia

Xaira

"Arden, what was your favorite thing of the party?"
"The pinata." Other of Arden's favorite things: Pinatas and stars.

I can't take all of the credit for having this party be such a success. My brothers and parents helped me out so much. Thanks guys.

Karen I can't believe you stayed up all night making the cake! The cake and cupcakes look so cute. We're sad we couldn't be there for Arden's big day!
